If your looking at this Split-R valve, then it probably needs no introduction and you know what they are. Everybody who owns a Mitsubishi Colt CZT/CZC Turbo engine should have one, and certainly should know about these valves.
The Colt CZT/CZC engine is a closed loop design, and therefore a generic type dump valve will not work correctly. If a generic dump valve is fitted, whether it be fitted 'cold side' or not will either cause engine management failures, or excessive fuel use. These valves have been specifically designed for these engines and are the only valve ever to work in this way.
The Splitter is a truly remarkable valve that gives a combination of blow off and recirculation all at the same time and has been specifically designed for the many turbo engined applications that operate metered airflow management systems (such as Seat Ibiza/Leon/Cupra 'R', Toledo 1.8 Turbo 20V Models)
This means you get all the noise of the blow off valve whilst retaining the compatibility with the recirculation requirements of the engine management system. As a bonus the valve has the ability to be converted into recirculation only mode for those times when stealth running is required. This is achieved by removing the blow off trumpet and replacing it with a blanking plug (all supplied with this kit).

There are a few very good reasons why you should be considering this purchase as essential. This valve replaces the poor quality, often faulty, black plastic dump valve, which in turn will give a gain in power due to reduced turbo stall effect. These valves are easy to fit (instructions included) and rated for upto 60 psi of boost. If you have had your car remapped. and you are still running the original valve, you are losing a potential 10-20bhp!!!
Please note this valve is specifically designed for the Colt CZT/CZC and has 34mm inlet/outlets. A normal Splitter valve will not fit!!
