Condensation in Your Headlights??

Posted on

I am really sorry that you've experienced condensation. At this time of year, it is extremely common and we've experienced this from headlights to indicators and fog lights across all makes and models. We've even had it happen to genuine light units! It takes just a bit of moisture to get in when fitting for it to occur, because of the weather conditions and the constant changes in temperature from cold to hot when the car is in use.

I can imagine that it feels disheartening and that you may feel that the product is faulty, but this is more often than not the case.

Signs of a faulty product would be it just occurring in one unit, or if water is getting in as that tells me it's a faulty seal.

What I recommend doing is 2 things ;

1) Wait for a couple of weeks to see if it progresses or goes away. Should anything happen to them in this time I.e bulbs blowing, please tell us immediately. More often than not, this should pass, especially if you use your car often and for prolonged periods.

2) If it persists, take the unit out and dry it, and then put it back in. If it comes back again, please tell us.

We are always only too happy to collect goods free of charge and replace, but we don't straight away offer this as we have found that it only comes back again even with a brand new set.

We hope this helps!
